Who is Zimbabwe Legit? They were pioneers in that they were one of the first African hip-hop groups to put out a record with a major US label in the early 90s.
As fate would have it though, that label would go under, and the group would remain in limbo - left to find their way in hip-hop through other endeavors, vehicles, forums and even groups including affiliates O.U.O.

More than a decade after Zimbabwe Legit had completed their full length album that never saw the light of day, they found a label and situation that would enable to release the lost tapes and re-introduce the world to the Brothers from the Mother.

O.U.O, Last Eighth and Skillz get together for "Mercy"

12" Single storms national college and mixshow charts!

O.U.O and the Last Eighth got together with renowned emcee Skillz for an ill 12" single titled, "Mercy." The single made a lot of noise on the National College and Mixshow charts, claiming the #1 top spot on the Rap Network Record Breakers Chart.

"Mercy" is take no prisoners rhymefest over a rugged track putting the rap game on notice, these cats show no mercy!

This track is a free for all, battle royale displaying the essence of emceeing, dope rhymes, witty punchlines and dynamic delivery. The track is constructed with head bobbing drums and apocalyptic vocals over a syrupy groove laid down by Kev Strange of the Last Eighth.

As Skillz points out in his verse "Got a marvelous flow with that O.U.O..."

Here is what the critics are saying about O.U.O of unknown origin

Elemental Magazine
…A cohesive album
…fiery tag-team bravado
…provocative verses
…double-barreled delivery and on-point lyricism

Washington Post.com "...Smart, stripped-down hip-hop loaded with captivating beats and enterprising lyrics"

Platform 8470.com
"It's clear; OUO poured their heart and knowledge in this album. 'Of Unknown Origin' is one of those albums that keep it real and make us proud to say: real hip-hop is still here. This is hip-hop like it was meant to be; its got great beats, serious themes, fierce punchlines, but also humour which makes this album bigger than it would be without it. So what more can u ask for?"
